Kia Rio – Irish Car of the Year 2012
The all new-new Kia Rio has unprecedented levels of space, comfort
and equipment for a car in its class. Superbly responsive handling, great fuel
efficiency and superb power from Kia’s new ‘Kappa’ engines.
The peace of mind offered by Kia’s pioneering 7-year warranty. And
style that guarantees admiring glances wherever you go. The latest Kia engine
technology means that the new Rio is not only more powerful than its
predecessor – it’s even more fuel efficient. With a choice of punchy 1.25 litre
petrol or 1.4 litre diesel engines, fuel consumption is as low as 4.3 l/100km
and Co 2 emissions starts at just 113g/km.
You’ll feel instantly at ease in the new Rio. That’s because the
designers have created an airy, spacious, ergonomic interior equipped with
high-quality materials throughout. Full folding 60:40 rear seats allow for more
flexibility and larger loads – and there are plenty of additional storage areas
to keep everything secure and close to hand.
The Rio is equipped with a range of advanced safety technologies
as standard. Electronic Stability Control helps keep the car under control
during sudden braking. Vehicle Stability management ensures the car stays
stable whilst braking around corners, especially on wet, slippery roads. Hill
Start Assist prevents you rolling backwards when starting on a steep hill.
With all this it is easy to understand why the Kia Rio has been
voted Irish Car of the year 2012!
